Meals of Hope Food Packing A Success!

Many Thanks to those who helped pack 6,480 meals in less than 2 hours at the Day of Service with District 7630 clubs. Saturday morning, at the VFW in North East, our club really rocked with Rotarians Paul Keely, Joyce Henderson, Marie Holliday, Robin Broomall, Nancy Chase, Anthony Santoro, Kelly Bachman with friends and family members, volunteers from UD Community Engagement Initiative, and local church and community members. Team Leader Joyce kept everyone moving to the beat of the music as we filled, weighed, sealed and packed bags with seasoning, dry chicken broth, dried corn and peas,  and rice. Our packed cases were then picked up by Jewish Family Services for their Afghan Refugee program, Delaware Dream Center, Friendship House, Sunday Breakfast Mission, and Garments from God/Word of Life Church.

Thought for the Week:

During the Middle Ages, they celebrated the end of the plague with wine and orgies. Does anyone know if there is anything planned when this one ends?
