Mark is an officer at the Delaware Community Foundation, helping people expand their generosity and build opportunities in their communities. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas as well as a Nonprofit Leadership Certification from the University of Delaware
Nelson is an American physician and public health advocate born in Bogota, Colombia. he holds an MD, MPH and Ph.D. degrees and has postdoctoral training in clinical trials research. He is a polio and colorectal cancer survivor. He has served as the District Polio Chairman and World Polio Day Chairman in his former Rotary district.
Born in Texas. Raised in Belgium, France, and Delaware, Jerry retired from his real estate business after a career spanning five decades and three business sectors – first in government, then in banking, and finally in nonprofits, as the executive director of the Community Service Building.
Dave has been a Rotarian for over 20 years and is a past president of the Christiana Rotary Club. He operates an income tax consulting business in Hockessin. Dave retired as marketing director for the Blood Bank of Delmarva and previously served as executive of the Delaware Heritage Commission.
Tim is president of Boulden Brothers Plumbing, Heating, Air and Electric in Newark, which was founded in 1946. Tim says, “Rotary allows me to serve the community in different ways. I am grateful to be in a group that does so much for Newark and the world.

Robin is a consultant in leadership and communications programs. A Rotarian since 1993, she is a co-founder and past president of this club and is active at the district level. She is president of the Board of Directors of the Delaware Academy of Science at Iron Hill Museum and Science Center.
Charlie is a partner with Gellert Seitz Busenkill & Brown LLC, focusing on business law, including contract disputes, commercial debt collection, bankruptcy, and real estate. His hobbies include practicing taekwondo. Charlie and his wife are UD grads and have three children.

A native Delawarean, Eric was educated at Friends School, UD and The Wilmington Medical Center’s School of Paramedics Training. After a 31-year career in Emergency Medical Services, Eric was in automobile sales and then worked in the funeral industry until 2019. Eric is now enjoying retired life.
Robert is a data analyst and an engineer. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He has been active in multiple religious and veteran-focused charities.

Cheryl relocated to Newark from Oregon, where she was also a Rotarian. As director of UD’s English Language Institute, she is a passionate international scholar who believes in service and bridge-building through language, education, and community. She is an advisor from our club to the UD Rotaract Club.
Ann is a retired English teacher, publisher and business owner. As a new Rotarian, Ann looks forward to making this little corner of the world better by volunteering her time and sharing her expertise. She lives in Newark, spending much time with family and lifelong friends, as well as in Bethany Beach, her happy place.
Steve served his country in the U.S. Air Force as a Firefighter. He lives in Fairhill, MD area with his son and daughter-in-law while they build their new home for their expanding family. Steve is active in community projects in both the Newark and Elkton areas.
A Licensed Funeral Director since 1975, Bob is president of R. T. Foard Funeral Home and Crematory. He has been a member of several service and professional organizations in Cecil and New Castle counties, including the Maryland State Licensing Board of Morticians.
A Rotarian since 2002, Ed first joined Rotary in Texas before relocating to Delaware in 2015 and becoming active with Rehoboth Sunrise Rotary. Now a member of Newark Morning Rotary, he also contributes to Rotary leadership while working professionally as a business analyst.
Zach enjoys finding new AI technologies to solve problems, freeing up time to work on things that can be enjoyed by automating the boring stuff. He loves creative projects, being outdoors, and making a positive difference. A Web/App/AI Model developer, Zach is working on an app to help the local food pantries share resources.
In Memoriam
After 32+ years at UD, Evelyn was a retired UD Trustees Distinguished Professor Emerita for nursing. A retired Colonel (US Army Reserve, Nurse Corps), she proudly served for 23 years in a variety of roles and settings, including individual Mobilization Augmentee and Chief of Nursing Administration at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
Marie is the Regional Managing Partner at The Bonadio Group, a Top 40 accounting firm in the US with offices in Wilmington. She earned her Bachelor's and Master’s degrees at UD. She and her husband Al, have raised three children and, in their spare time, enjoy going to the beach.
Since retiring from a 47+ year career in 2011, Jerry has been a member so “I can contribute to the community that has given so much to Hanne and me.” He and his wife Hannelore live in Newark. Besides Rotary, he is active in church and enjoys reading and traveling.
John retired from a 30-year career with DuPont, Lanxide and General Electric. He is Chair of the Hope Dining Room in Newark and supports the Newark Arts Alliance. John and his wife Karen split their time in retirement between Newark and Bethany Beach.
Tyrone is Director of Policy and External Affairs for Bloom Energy. Currently, he serves as Chair of the Newark Partnership Board, Chair of the Joint Military Advisory Council and is a member of the Delaware Manufacturing Association and the Communities in Schools Delaware Board of Directors.
Paul is married to his high school sweetheart and best friend, Eileen and is blessed with 4 children and 3 grandchildren. Together, they own King Print Promo, a B2B marcom firm. He is active in our community through Rotary, his faith community and other organizations.

Shawn owns his firm, Shawn W. Klapinsky, CPA, Inc., which specializes in tax and consulting services for small- to medium-sized businesses, individuals, trusts and estates. He has served as treasurer of the club for 20 years, the Rotary district and various civic organizations.
A Financial Planner with Diamond State Financial Group, Preston is passionate about working alongside his clients through every stage of life. He is committed to service beyond his profession, supporting various nonprofit organizations and volunteering as a baseball coach for children with special needs, an experience that continues to inspire him.
Mike is a financial advisor with Edward Jones on Main Street in Newark. A past president of the club, Mike enjoys all kinds of outdoor activities, particularly fishing and recreational sports. He lives in Wilmington with his wife, Karissa and three children.
Stewart has worked in commercial banking for his entire career. He has been a Rotarian since 2019 and was president of the club in 2022-2023. He is a past Board member of St. Mark’s High School and remains active on the Finance Committee. He is also a parishioner at St. Margaret of Scotland and is on the Financial Council there.
Josh is a chemical engineer by training. He is a graduate of the University of Delaware, where he met his wife, Katie. They live in Newark with their 3 children. He is a past president of NMRC. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, homebrewing and making music.
Amanda is a graduate of Coastal Carolina University with over 17 years of experience in live events and regional theatre. She serves as Marketing Coordinator for the Resident Ensemble Players at the University of Delaware and values Rotary for its hands-on service and meaningful community impact.
Don is the Chief Technology Officer at SIMM Associates, Inc., specializing in computer networking and security, and the owner of SDS, Inc. Don has been involved with the Relay for Life since 1996, helping raise almost $500,000 for the American Cancer Society. Don is a Counselor for the Iron Hill Museum Merit Badge Center.
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Geneva, Switzerland, Bob brings a global perspective to Delaware’s business community, having served on several boards and committees focused on small businesses. Founder of Creative Travel, the Delaware Small Business Chamber and the DSBC Foundation, he has championed innovation and entrepreneurship for over 47 years.
Stella Patiño is a seasoned nonprofit leader and C-Suite executive director dedicated to advancing community well-being through innovation and collaboration. With extensive experience in YMCA leadership, she champions initiatives in workforce and youth development, early childhood education, and social responsibility, inspiring teams and partners to build stronger communities.
Doug is Publisher/Chief Content Officer for Delaware Business Now, a five-day-a-week business newsletter and website that covers the First State and adjacent areas. He also served as editor of the Delaware Business Ledger, Delaware Business Review and the Newark Post. Doug and his wife Sharon reside in Bear.
Lynn is an agent for COMPASS RE, specializing in home sales across all three counties of Delaware. With a passion of being a Forever Agent, Lynn strives to be a trusted resource for her clients through every stage of life’s journey. She is active in many community organizations.
Dan was a paramedic with New Castle County for 33 years and retired as Assistant Chief of Operations. He has been an active volunteer member of Aetna Hose Hook and Ladder for 46 years and is the immediate past president, having served in this position for 8 years.
Zachary is a Financial Advisor at Diamond State Financial Group, working with individuals, families, and business owners on financial planning, investment strategy, and long-term wealth management. A Salesianum School alumnus and University of Delaware graduate of 2024, Zachary is passionate about community service and giving back through local volunteer efforts.
Mark is with the law firm of James P. Curran, Jr. He also sings and plays guitar with fellow Rotarian Fred Dawson in Club Phred, a rock-and-roll band that has raised more than $5M for various charities.
Sujan is a Scientist currently working at Charles River Labs. He joined Rotary in 2022 and enjoys meaningful engagement across the community. Sujan enjoys the fellowship and the input to service projects. He lives in Newark with his wife and daughter. In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors.
Clinton is retired from UD, where he held the position of State Director for the Small Business Development Center Network. He continues to be connected through his work with True Access Capital. He and his wife Barbara, have two children, Aki and Shira, and four grandchildren, Naajee, Safiyah, Madison, and Sebastian.
Cindi has been a top performer in marketing with Delaware Today for 27 years. After joining Rotary in 2016, she has served as the club’s Director of Fundraising for the past five years, focusing on raising funds for the Report to the Community and sponsorships of the Flags for Heroes.
Dazzle is DELIGHTED to connect with her Rotary friends on Thursday mornings. Dazzle and her younger sister and best buddy, Shimmer, both LOVE going to Camp Bow Wow to be with Camp people, play and get treats for practicing their training, tricks and agility equipment skills.
Laurie is an owner of Camp Bow Wow Delaware North. She loves working with dogs and people. Laurie and her husband, John Lewis, have two children, “almost perfect” grandchildren and two Golden Retrievers who enjoy attending our morning meetings. Laurie is the current president of the Newark Morning Rotary Club.
A lifelong educator, Elaine teaches advanced math at St. Mark’s High School. As a Service Member, Elaine is actively involved in club projects and fellowship. Elaine lives in Newark with her husband, Jamie, also a Rotarian, and enjoys reading, crocheting, knitting, puzzling and beekeeping.
Jamie works at W.L. Gore & Associates in Newark. He actively engages with colleagues and the community. Through Rotary, he volunteers on service projects and values meaningful fellowship. He lives in Newark and enjoys family time, gardening, and spending time outdoors whenever possible throughout the year.
