Aug. 15, 2024      The Magic of Rotary!

We’re trying to improve Zoom presentation!

  1. If you are attending via Zoom, during the mealtime go into the Breakout Room and you will still be able to converse with others on Zoom. When meal is over, come back to the main room.
  2. If you have a speaker who wants to present a Power Point or other screen, please have the material sent to Bill Sullivan 24 hours ahead of the meeting. He will then have the presentation ready to share

Reminder: check out our Facebook page for pictures!

Are you wearing your Rotary pin proudly everyday?
The reason for even having a Rotary pin is to broadcast to everyone you are in contact with that you are proud of being a Rotarian and it represents who you are. Wearing it just to a meeting is missing the point. We know you are a Rotarian, now show the world who you are. And have that 30 second elevator speech ready to answer the question, “What’s Rotary?”
Game On!
Let’s have some fun and fellowship at the Annual Picnic by voting for the picture of a member wearing their Rotary pin in a most unusual place. Send your selfie to Robin and the pics will be displayed at the picnic. You can “vote” with cash for your favorite. All money will go to the winner for a donation to their favorite charity.
Review of Service Projects
Sujan is still looking for some project chairs, especially for Community Day (Sept. 15) and the newest suggestions of Empowerment Center, Stockings For Soldiers, and Project CURE. If interested or have questions, ask Sujan or Robin. Remember, being chair does not mean you do the project by yourself. You coordinate member volunteers and reserve dates or materials.
Sign up for Rotary Direct NOW
Beginning in the new Rotary year, all NMRC members are asked to make their Rotary Foundation contributions directly to TRF via Rotary Direct. Instructions will be provided. After June, contributions will no longer be invoiced by our treasurer. This will get your money to TRF faster, get your tax recognition faster, enable you to manage your contributions, and free up the responsibility from our treasurer. Specific instructions will becoming.
Ty needs your help…
As chair of weekly programs, Ty Jones needs a few more volunteers to arrange the speakers or programs for each month. Easy as pie! Most months need only two programs to arrange so contact Ty with the month of your choice.
Club Picnic needs a Chair
Club Annual Picnic will be held Thursday evening Aug. 22, starting about 6 p.m. on the patio of the Courtyard. If it rains, we will assemble in the lobby. Family members and guests are invited to attend. Please notify Robin whether or not you will attend so we can have enough burgers, hotdogs, and chicken for everyone. The club will supply the meats, rolls, and condiments. Members are asked to bring a covered dish of vegetable, casserole, or dessert.
