With a variety of items to choose from in the Silent Auction ( cakes, jewelry, gift cards, party baskets, homemade crafted items, tickets, and much more!), very generous Happy Dollars, and additional contributions, in a day dedicated to raising money for PolioPlus, our club raised more than $2,700. Many thanks to everyone who participated.
If you were not there last week, and you want to make a contribution to PolioPlus in your name, please let Robin know ASAP. Let’s push the $3,000 mark!!!
URGENT ACTION NEEDED!
Flags For Heroes Deadline for sponsoring a flag is Nov. 1.
Is there someone in your life – current or past – who you would like to honor? Maybe a family member, veteran, service member, fireman, police officer, co-worker, teacher, or just a friend. Each flag will have a tag with the name of the honoree. Flag will be flown in front of Newark City Hall on S. Main Street over Veterans Day weekend, A “spill-over” location has also been identified, so we have plenty of room for flags. Offer the opportunity to sponsor a flag at $50 each to your co-workers, friends, neighbors, and family. Profits will benefit our club’s community service projects.
How do you sponsor a flag?
Email Paul Keely for a sponsorship form and mail it to Paul Keely, 79 Hidden Valley Drive, Newark DE 19711. Make checks payable to Newark Morning Rotary Club.
Or go to www.NMRDE.org and complete form and pay via credit card.
Can you read?
The Newark Children’s Day Nursery, located only a mile from the Courtyard on Barksdale Road, is in need of readers to the children. Easy — go to Read Aloud Delaware, signup as a reader, designate Newark Day Nursery as your preferred location. Then you can make arrangements that suit your schedule.
Outstanding invoice?
Do not let your quarterly invoice go unpaid. Either get a check to treasurer Shawn or go to www.NMRDE.org and pay via credit card.
If you want to have your contribution made directly to The Rotary Foundation by credit card (weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually) and not have it included on your quarterly club invoice, go to www.rotarydirect.org to sign up. Easy…..
