- If you are attending via Zoom, during the mealtime go into the Breakout Room and you will still be able to converse with others on Zoom. When meal is over, come back to the main room.
- If you have a speaker who wants to present a Power Point or other screen, please have the material sent to Bill Sullivan 24 hours ahead of the meeting. He will then have the presentation ready to share

It’s Upside Down 5th Thursday held on a Wednesday!
This week’s meeting will be WEDNESDAY with hors d’oeuvres starting at 5:30 and dinner at 6 p.m. You will need cash for only the 50/50. All other money that night (fines, Happy $, and Silent Auction winnings) will be invoiced. All proceeds go to The Rotary Foundation’s Polio Plus program in YOUR NAME.
Sgt. At Arms Laurie has thrown down three requests: 1) donate an item to the Silent Auction; 2) bid high on auction items; 3) bring another person.
If you don’t have an item to donate, Think out of the box!
Creative thinking and hidden talents will make our Silent Auction at the World’s Greatest Meal (Wednesday, Oct. 30) a huge amount of fun. Every member is encouraged to donate SOMETHING. We welcome gift baskets, handmade items, gift cards to local businesses. If you think you are not talented, get your kids to help you with something creative. Nothing will be too stupid – all in great fun – and will contribute to helping wipe out polio.
Stars and Strides Signup
Clinton has a goal – 40 members of Newark Morning team to support the Bloom Energy Stars and Strides 5k on Saturday, Nov. 9. To register go to:

Starts at 8 a.m. with race beginning at 9 a.m. You do not have to be a runner to join us. Walkers (and literally walkers and wheelchairs, baby strollers) are welcomed. The event supports veterans and youth.
Dictionaries Ready to go!
If your did not arrange dictionary delivery to your assigned school, please coordinate quickly so the third graders get a good start to their year with their free student dictionary. You do not have to do it all yourself. Just call the school, arrange a date and time and ask for volunteers to help.

We are just $1,725 shy of meeting the goal of $30,000 for Flags For Heroes this year. Let’s all make a final push. If you did not make a personal contribution, consider doing it now. Any little bit will help. Only 36 more flag sponsorships will make it happen!
Hurricane Helene Donations
We did it! In less than 36 hours, members responded to Robin’s matching challenge and donated $2,300. Along with Robin and Jim’s donation of $2,500, the “fines” of Oct. 3 of $349 and the Club contribution of $1,000, a check for $6149 will be going to Disaster Aid USA for help with Hurricane Helene cleanup. Thank you for your donations.
URGENT Sign up for Rotary Direct NOW
Beginning in the new Rotary year, all NMRC members are asked to make their Rotary Foundation contributions directly to TRF via Rotary Direct. Instructions will be provided. After June, contributions will no longer be invoiced by our treasurer. This will get your money to TRF faster, get your tax recognition faster, enable you to manage your contributions, and free up the responsibility from our treasurer.
