Weekly bulletin Nov. 12, 2020

November 12, 2020 Rotary Opens Opportunities!
All club meetings will be conducted via Zoom until further notice. Please contact Robin at rbroomall@usa.net if you did not receive the Zoom link for this week’s meeting. Please do not share our Zoom meeting link with anyone unless you want them specifically invited to the meeting.

New Zoom practice going into play – in order to keep better control of those who want to give Happy Dollars, and keep us from talking over each other, “Raise Hand” will be put into use. Click on “participants” at bottom middle of your screen, click on “more” and your will see “Raise hand”. Click on this when you want to be recognized. Then click on “Lower hand” when done. The host will call on you to speak. Otherwise, please mute yourself while others speak.

Happy/Crappy Dollars? We are still accepting them weekly, but you need to keep track of them and pay up when we meet again in person. Remember the Four Way Test???

Keep the cards and notes coming!

Keep writing those cards and notes of inspiration for our senior community and get to Laura DelPercio. Paul Keely still has note cards specially printed for your use.

If you have not done so already, please return the World’s Greatest Meal form to Robin ASAP so we can tally the final contributions for the day. Even if you did not bid on an auction item, please consider making an additional contribution. Also, your 50/50 bids should be included.

Flags for Heroes

Thank you, Jason Lawhorn, for your work on the 2020 Flags For Heroes campaign. 60 flags were set up on the lawn of Newark Administration Building for all to see traveling down S. Main Street. Having sponsorships available on our website will continue to make it easy to contribute in years to come.

Yard CleanUp

Thank you Shawn, Paul K., Laura, Jamie, and Robin for helping with yard cleanup for clients of Lori’s Hands. Along with 8 other student volunteers, we raked leaves, pulled weeds, and dug dandelions at three homes for chronically ill.
