Holiday Reception – Dec. 2 Let’s PARTY!!!

… and kick off the holiday season with thinking of others. The club’s annual Holiday Reception will be evening of Dec. 2, 6-8 p.m. with family members and friends invited. Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served; cash bar will be available. Your “ticket” to the reception will be a new, unwrapped toy for a child. We will then donate the gifts to Toys For Tots for distribution. (The box for collection will also be available at the Nov. 18 and Dec. 9 meetings in case you cannot attend the reception.)

Also, this year we will have a fun Pollyana Gift Exchange. If you want to participate, bring a wrapped gift, approximately $10 value that can be exchanged with other members who participate. You never know what you will go home with – but sure to have lots of fun getting it!

Thought for the Week:

The Coffee Law for Retirees: As soon as you sit down with a cup of hot coffee, the phone will ring and your sister will want to talk.

The Coffee Law for those still employed: As soon as you sit down with a cup of hot coffee, your boss will ask you to do something which will last until the coffee is cold.
