Nominations for Vice President
What are you waiting for? Step up and submit your name for vice president for 2023-24. Leadership is an awesome thing. All of our current officers (Clinton, Stewart, Lynn, Jamie, and Marie) stepped forward when we needed them most. Now it’s your time! Please see Robin with your decision ASAP so the Nomination committee of Evelyn, Dennis, and Robin can conclude their search.
District Grant for 2023-24 – Submitted
Utilizing resources with Mandela Fellows from 2022, we  submitted a district grant application to supply menstrual kits to young ladies in Nigeria, with Doris, Evelyn, and Robin leading the project.  Doris  has already made contact with one Fellow, identified a local Rotary club to assist, and has one physician Rotarian to help with the project. Many young girls are not attending school one week per month because they do not have menstrual supplies.
Rotary Education for FREE!
Take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about Rotary and how it functions. Register for Rotary Leadership Institute and participate in sessions on The Rotary Foundation, leadership, membership, fellowship, and more. Register at midatlanticrli.org or go online to DaCdb, look for dDstrict, then Events, look for June 3 and register there. Pay the registration fee and submit your receipt to Marie Holliday for reimbursement. You should follow the parts, taking one level each year.

Ladies of NMRC doing service
The Ladies of Newark Morning Rotary are completing their second service project since our first meeting in March. Immediately following this week’s meeting at The Vero, they will be packing hygiene products for 100 homeless or low-income girls at Glasgow High School for their use over summer months. If anyone has donations, please bring to The Vero this week. Many thanks to those who donated items or cash to make this happen.

Thought for the Week:

We are what our thoughts have made us; so take care about what you think.

Words are secondary. Thoughts live; they travel far.
