New Zoom practice going into play – in order to keep better control of those who want to give Happy Dollars, and keep us from talking over each other, “Raise Hand” will be put into use. Click on “participants” at bottom middle of your screen, click on “more” and your will see “Raise hand”. Click on this when you want to be recognized. Then click on “Lower hand” when done. The host will call on you to speak. Otherwise, please mute yourself while others speak.
Happy/Crappy Dollars? We are still accepting them weekly, but you need to keep track of them and pay up when we meet again in person. Remember the Four Way Test???

April Fool’s Day Social Hour!
It’s no joke!!! Join us for a special social hour on April Fool’s Day – April 1. We will have a virtual escape room from 6 – 7:15 p.m. The story: a hacker has frozen our data systems and holds our “company” hostage. We will need teams who compete to solve fun puzzles and save our “company.” We need a minimum of 12 participants. Please RSVP to Mike Luck at firstname.lastname@example.org by March 12th so we can make teams and pay for the game.
Welcome Bags to be filled
Thank you, members who offered to purchase items needed to fill 60 Welcome Bags for counselors at Camp Fairlee’s summer camp. The Easter Seals camp in Chestertown, Md., is a special time away from home for youth and young adults who are handicapped or challenged. It is also the only respite for many of their caregivers who look after their loved ones 24/7. Counselors come from all over the world and often come with very few personal supplies due to airline restrictions. Our Welcome bags help get them through the first days at camp until they can go shopping. For nearly 15 years our club has filled these bags.
Thank you, Margie Masino, for getting dictionaries delivered to seven schools on the Newark area. With Mike Laur’s help, we were able to get student dictionaries into the hands of our third graders, even though we could not do our usual in-person presentations. The only school to refuse our offer this year was Downes Elementary, citing covid restrictions. Hopefully we can get back to our normal presentations next school year.

Why support the Rotary Foundation?
When you became a member of our club, you joined a network of 1.2 million people around the world who have the same objectives: to support humanity and make this a better world for many. The Rotary Foundation (TRF) is the arm of Rotary International that makes that happen. By our contributing to TRF, we are able to pull our resources and dollars to support humanitarian projects all over the globe that we as individuals would not be able to do on our own. Consider giving more than the requested $100 per year to support those efforts.
Where is your BUDDY?
Have you made contact with your buddy this week? He/She might by waiting for your call or email. Be forewarned that Sgt. At Arms will be asking why your buddy is not on our next Zoom meeting. Fines are coming!

Thought for the Week
Never sing in the shower! Singing leads to dancing; dancing leads to slipping; and slipping leads to paramedics seeing you naked. So remember – Don’t sing in the shower!
