However, if you want to make a personal donation, you can do through The Rotary Foundation at rotary.org under the link specifically for Ukraine disaster. OR you can donate through Disaster Aid USA, run by Rotarians with headquarters in our district. This is a Rotary sponsored organization. They are in direct contact with Disaster Aid International and their contacts in Poland and Ukraine to determine immediate needs. You can donate through their website at disasteraidusa.org.

Tip #1 : Don’t procrastinate. Get your list together, assume you will need to ask multiple times, and approach people you know.
Tip #2: Plan your work, work your plan. Make an appointment with yourself to make those calls.
Tip #3: Schedule time on your calendar to work your plan.
District Conference Registration Ends March 25
Dist5ict 7630 Annual District Conference will be held April 1 and 2 in Easton, Md. Registration is open on DaCdb. If you need help with that, please ask Robin. This is an opportunity to meet other Rotarians, see what their clubs are doing, attend interesting seminars, and participate in District business.
Are you a Rotarian for Community Service? Here is your chance to get involved.
Put on your schedule May 14 and Oct. 8, from 10 a.m. to noon, to volunteer at the Food Bank of Delaware. We fulfill a valuable duty of packing bags for children to have meals on weekends and other days they cannot get meals at school. Go to http://nmrc3.fbd.volunteerhub.com/ to register as a volunteer for those time slots. If you have not registered before, a separate link will be sent.
Relay For Life
Support Don Newcomb’s team Relay For Life’s fundraiser on April 30, from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the Chambers Memorial Hall on Kirkwood Highway. For information and ticket purchase, call 302-275-6935 or email chanceforacure@gmail.com. A separate flyer will be sent to all members.
Grant ideas?
Never let free money lay on the table. Each year we have the opportunity to apply for a district grant to support a project accomplished by our club. This year we are supporting Camp Fairlee with scholarships and Welcome bags for the counselors. Most recent projects include outfitting the Newark PAL trailer, funding a training video for Lori’s Hands, music lessons and instruments for children, custom bicycles for handicapped youth, purchasing display cases for a new science museum, training video for Seeing Eye puppy trainers.
Talk to Jerry Holt or Robin Broomall if you have an idea. Projects should be started and completed between July 2022 and May 2023.
Support Interact Capstone Programs
The Stop Human Trafficking Capstone program will be held May 16, 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Newark Charter High School cafeteria. All are invited. This is an important presentation for younger ones in your family to attend and hear about the dangers that lurk.
