Deadline Extended for Ads
Time is getting short. Please make a last minute effort to secure those last few ads. We are very short of our goal. Make Cindi proud of everyone! We’re around $40,000 but we could get there with your help! Many thanks to the members who agreed to contribute personally to the centerfold. More than $3,500 was raised so we can keep moving closer to our goal.
Grant Report Submitted
The Final report for the Hygiene program for schoolgirls in Nigeria was submitted to the District Foundation committee this week. Thanks to our efforts, under the leadership of Doris Chan Leach, with $10,000 we were able to provide training and hygiene education to nearly 5,000 schoolgirls, enabling them to attend school 100% of the time rather than missing 25% each year. The OnePad project was developed and led by Assurance Ayilara, a Mandella Fellow at UD in 2022. After meeting Assurance and hearing her passion for her project, we re-connected with her again and applied, then conducted the district grant project. The Foundation Committee from District 7630 awarded our club $5,000 toward the project.
