Rotary Has A HUGE Heart and Strong Arms
In less than two hours last Saturday afternoon, nine of us and family members packed 180 cartons of nonperishables to be distributed to seniors at the Food Bank. Fred built the boxes; Evelyn, Robin, Eileen Keely, and Barbara Tymes filled the boxes along the conveyor; Clinton taped the boxes closed; Paul, Jerry, and Madison kept stocking supplies. Never get in the way of Clinton’s granddaughter Madison or you will be bowled over!
AD Campaign Coming to a Head!
With the kickoff of the 2023 Report to the Community, we are officially in campaign mode. So far about $30,000 in ads has been sold. At the suggestion of Cindi, your steps should be: 1) craft a contact list, 2) schedule time for phone calls and selling 3) writ down your selling points and have in front of you, 4) set a goal of 8 ad per week, 5) carry copies of the ’22 Report with you and access sell sheets on nmrde.org, 6) sign your letter with a personal note. March 23 is our ad space deadline.
Spending the Flag Money
Nearly in tears three volunteers with Beds 4 Vets accepted a check for $4000 last week. If you were not there, you missed a powerful presentation. We also gave a check for $4000 to Newark PAL president Lt. Greg D’Elia to support their traveling PAL center. We will be sponsoring several of their programs this summer.
Upside Down Meeting? PAY ATTENTION !!!
On the fifth Thursday, March 30, we will have a meeting at 7 p.m. instead of in the morning. Spouses and guests are invited to attend with you. A light supper will be served on the buffet. What a perfect chance for us to meet your better half and for you to introduce them to us. We will have an evening of fun and fellowship. Any guest you bring will be charged $13.25 on your next invoice. A sign up sheet will be passed around next week, so get it on your calendar now!
