Rotary Has A HUGE Heart  and Strong Arms
We donated 662 pounds of non-perishables to the Food Bank in February. Now let’s get our muscles working! Sign up at fbd.org to volunteer two hours on Saturday, March 18 from 1-3 p.m.. You must register as a volunteer with the Food Bank.
AD Campaign in full Swing!
With the kickoff of the 2023 Report to the Community, we are officially in campaign mode. So far about $19,000 in ads has been sold. At the suggestion of Cindi, your steps should be: 1) craft a contact list, 2) schedule time for phone calls and selling 3) writ down your selling points and have in front of you, 4) set a goal of 8 ad per week, 5) carry copies of the ’22 Report with you and access sell sheets on nmrde.org, 6) sign your letter with a personal note. March 23 is our ad space deadline.
Spending the Flag Money
At the suggestion of our Philanthropy Committee, and confirmation of our members present last week, we will present profits from the 2022 Flags For Heroes project to the following:
$250 each to Delaware Military Academy, VFW Post 475, and Delaware Patriot Guard for their participation in the November 13 ceremony; $4000 each to Beds 4 Vets, Delaware Center for Homeless Vets, Stop Soldier Suicide, and Newark PAL.
Check out Another Club
On March 9 we will not have our usual meeting. Each member is asked to visit another club, in our area, our region, our state, or elsewhere. Because clubs have changed locations and meeting days and times in the past few years, it is recommended that you search for a club and contact the president to confirm week of March 6-10 visitation. You can find all club locations and contact numbers on DaCdb or ask Robin for help. A separate spreadsheet of close-by clubs will be sent to members.
Shen Yun performance
If you want to see a amazing performance of Chinese culture, save the date of Saturday, April 15 for a 7:30 p.m. performance. Reserve your ticket(s) with Doris Chan by Friday, Feb. 24.
