https://95896improvements.com/  As suggested by Bill Sullivan, avoid I95 at 273 and 896. Construction has begun and is a nightmare. Even 72 south of Newark is one lane under the I95 overpass. Find the backroads to travel.
District Grant for 2023-24 – Submitted
Utilizing resources with Mandela Fellows from 2022, we  submitted a district grant application to supply menstrual kits to young ladies in Nigeria, with Doris, Evelyn, and Robin leading the project.  Doris  has already made contact with one Fellow, identified a local Rotary club to assist, and has one physician Rotarian to help with the project. Many young girls are not attending school one week per month because they do not have menstrual supplies.
Phillies Game, Anyone?
Let’s revive an old club tradition of attending the Phillies’ Strike Out Hunger Night on Aug. 8. See Marie Holliday to add your name to the list for tickets and potential bus ride.
IMPACT Club
Do you know someone who is service minded but can’t attend our regular Rotary meetings? Give their name and contact info to Paul Keely for an invitation to join. We have several names and applications in the pipeline. We had a lively informational meeting last week.
Annual Installation and Awards Dinner
Our annual dinner is scheduled for Thursday, June 22. The Ray Civatte Community Service Award, Publlc Service Award, and Spirit in Business Award will be presented that night. We are now taking applications for those awards.
Ray Civatte Community Service Award: a non-Rotarian who volunteers in the community in a variety of areas (Amanda McGinty, chair)
