Our Mission:

The mission of the Newark Morning Rotary Club is to advance the programs of Rotary International and to improve the quality of life of people in need in the greater Newark area. We support a variety of community service projects through financial assistance and hands-on activities while maintaining a warm environment of fellowship among our members.

Rotary International is dedicated to causes that build international relationships, improve lives, and create a better world to support our peace efforts and end polio forever. The Seven Areas of Focus of Rotary International include: Promoting Peace; Fighting Disease; Providing Clean Water, Sanitation and Hygiene; Saving Mothers and Children thru Health; Supporting Education and Literacy; Growing Local Economies; and Protecting the Environment.

Report ‘2022 Kicks off!
Kelly Bachman anno9unced last week the kick off for the 2022 Report to the Community. This year’s goal is $50,000 in ad sales. Early Bird prices end March 4. All ads are due March 24, and final payments are due April 7. Any ad not paid for by April 7 will not be printed.
Weekly Tip : Don’t procrastinate. Get your list together, assume you will need to ask multiple times, and approach people you know.
Doug Rainey is editor now but will be seeking help from others. Robin will begin with updating member bios and getting head shots from new members.
Sitters Needed! No Experience Necessary!
Supporting Kids in Hockessin will need some adult volunteers to sit with their kid clients starting on Feb. 23 while their guardians and foster families meet with staff. Talk with Nancy Chase if you are interested.

Ouch! Yes, prices of everything are going up – including Rotary pins. If you need a new pin it will now cost you $4!!! So hang on tight to your pin or be prepared to pay out. Need a new badge? That is now a hefty $12!
Further your Rotary Education
If you want to learn more about Rotary, what you can do to access your potential, and how it operates, Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) is offered virtually and in-person. You can register at www.rli33.org, select your preferred dates and level of program, then submit your payment to Shawn for reimbursement. Three parts are offered and it is suggested you attend them in order. You do not have to do them all at once and can take at your pleasure. Several of our members are graduates of RLI.

March 11 – Parts 1 and 2 offered (in-person in Jacksonville, NC)
