Disaster Relief – Ukraine

MEMBERS will be voting on the amount our club will donate to the disaster in Ukraine. Our budget is depleted for disaster relief but we do have other funds that can be used. If you want to make a personal donation, you can do through The Rotary Foundation at rotary.org under the link specifically for Ukraine disaster. OR you can donate through Disaster Aid USA, run by Rotarians with headquarters in our district. This is a Rotary sponsored organization. They are in direct contact with Disaster Aid International and their contacts in Poland and Ukraine to determine immediate needs. You can donate through their website at disasteraidusa.org.

Grant ideas?
Never let free money lay on the table. Each year we have the opportunity to apply for a district grant to support a project accomplished by our club. This year we are supporting Camp Fairlee with scholarships and Welcome bags for the counselors. Most recent projects include outfitting the Newark PAL trailer, funding a training video for Lori’s Hands, music lessons and instruments for children, custom bicycles for handicapped youth, purchasing display cases for a new science museum, training video for  Seeing Eye puppy trainers.
Talk to Jerry Holt or Robin Broomall if you have an idea. Projects should be started and completed between July 2022 and May 2023.
Reminder: Invoice payments due upon receipt!
