Weekly Bulletin 5/30/19

May 30, 2019     Be An Inspiration!

May 23 program:

Safety and privacy on the social media is all about your own mindeset. Jamie Luck, as an employee of Linkedin, can see how hackers can get into your personal data. Not important to you? Even if you have nothing to hide, you should care about Internet privacy. We should all be considerate in knowing how to use the Internet, know the sites you are engaging with, choose software wisely, install ad blockers, consider the reputation of websites you browse, and do no place blind trust in the Internet. Jamie suggests using social media as a way to connect with people in real life.

Outstanding Invoice?

Close to being a Paul Harris Fellow, or one step higher?

See Fred Dawson if you want to become a Paul Harris Fellow or make an additional contribution to move one step up before this Rotary year ends.

What’s a Paul Harris Fellow, you ask?

We all make voluntary contributions to The Rotary Foundation with our quarterly invoices. When you reach $1,000 cumulative, you will be a Paul Harris Fellow. It can be done in one contribution or over a number of years. Ask Fred.

Cash or Credit?

Did you know you can get a credit card that earns money for The Rotary Foundation? A portion of each purchase you make with a Bank of America affinity card will benefit the Foundation, at no additional cost to you. The Foundation has received more than $8.6 million from the program since it was launched in 2000, including $3.6 million to support polio eradication.  Learn how to apply at My Rotary on www.rotary.org.
