Bulletin for January 24, 2019 Be An Inspiration!
Jan. 17 program:
Founded in 1996, Fresh Start is the non-profit arm of Wilmington Women in Business, providing scholarships to local women with financial need. Current President Sarah Kenney-Cruz explained how many women could advance their careers if they had the necessary education. The organization started with just one scholarship and 20 years later more than $950,000 has been awarded. In addition to financial support, they provide mentors and support to help the women get their degrees. More than 90% of donations to Fresh Start go directly to scholarship recipients.
