Program for July 30
Gayle Dillman, CEO, and Jeremy Hebbel of Gable Music Ventures. Gable Music Ventures was created in 2011 by Gayle Dillman and Jeremy Hebbel. Recognizing a need in Wilmington, Gayle and Jeremy launched into the
creation of live, all ages, original music events in Downtown Wilmington in various unconventional spaces like Film Brothers and the Chris White Gallery. Today the business boasts several successful events; Wilmo Rock
Circus, and The Ladybug Festival amongst others as major yearly contributions to the local original music scene. In addition to creating their own events, Gable has worked in collaboration with Strongpoint Marketing in the creation of the Town of Smyrna's successful "Smyrna at Night" events, and World Cafe Live at the Queen with the creation of Rockabilly Rumble. Gable Music Ventures is also the booking agent for several local businesses and is credited with bringing thousands of people into Wilmington to dine and support original local music every year.

How much did we pay out?

Wrapping up last year’s budget showed we paid out $39,885 in our line 540: Donations, to service projects and to other organizations. This money ALL came from the 2014 Report to the Community. In addition, we personally
contributed $8,663 to the Foundation’s Annual Fund and $710 to PolioPlus.

In Bill’s 2015-16 budget, we have $48,411 in line 540: Donations. This came from the 2015 Report to the Community and projected 5K income for the November event. Thanks you to everyone who helped make this possible.

GET YOUR FOUNDATION COMMITMENT FORM TO SHAWN ASAP! If not submitted to him, he will bill you at last year’s rate.

Thought for the Week:

Not taught in any Science class: The Variation Law: If you change lines (or traffic lanes) the one you were in will always move faster than the one you are in now.

Can’t make our meeting?

I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands. You need to be able to throw something back.

All Rotarians are welcomed to attend another club’s meeting. Be prepared to pay for your meal and bring the makeup slip back to our secretary for attendance and invoice credit.
