30-minute makeup

If you missed a meeting, try going online at www.rotaryeclubone.org. At the Rotary e-club, click on "makeups" at top, then select the topic you want to learn about. You must stay on the site for 30 minutes before submitting your info in order for it to count as an official makeup. Enter your info and our secretary will automatically be notified. Try doing it while at lunch, this evening, or whenever you have a chance.

Good Luck, Dallas

Dallas bid us farewell today as he heads back to California to begin college classes. But he now has Rotary in his blood. He is already making plans to join a New Generations Club (Rotary for the 20-40ish group, no meal included unless you want to go to TGIFridays) which meets right across from his classroom. Best Wishes, Dallas

Paying our commitment just got easier

As members of this club, we each made a commitment to contribute a minimum of $100 per year to the annual fund of The Rotary Foundation. Most of us have paid our commitment through the quarterly invoice, which is then sent to TRF by our treasurer. To make it even easier, you can have your contribution credited to your credit card monthly, quarterly, or in one annual sum (at the time of year you want) through Rotary Direct. See Robin for a form, or enroll online at www.rotary.org.

GET YOUR FOUNDATION COMMITMENT FORM TO SHAWN ASAP! If not submitted to him, he will bill you at last year’s rate.

Thought for the Week:

Not taught in any Science class: The Law of Random Numbers: If you dial a wrong number, you never get a busy signal; someone always answers.

Can’t make our meeting?

I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands. You need to be able to throw something back.

All Rotarians are welcomed to attend another club’s meeting. Be prepared to pay for your meal and bring the makeup slip back to our secretary for attendance and invoice credit.
