Program for May 23
We held a club assembly this morning with Membership Chair Polly Sierer sharing the results of the sticky note activity we had a few weeks ago. It was to give approval/disapproval of several of our club activities/events. Most had overwhelming support. Some were definite No. Those we voted to stop holding include the November wine dinner (low attendance due to time of year and cost of dinner), Memorial Day parade volunteer help (no longer needed since parade is much smaller), and the Phillies game (fewer participating, cost of bus and food approx. $1,500). The Membership Committee is meeting to discuss other ideas for member participation.

Thought for the Week:

Slinkies aren’t good for anything, but they still bring a smile to your face when you watch them fall down a flight of stairs.

Can’t make our meeting?

I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands. You need to be able to throw something back.

All Rotarians are welcomed to attend another club’s meeting. Be prepared to pay for your meal and bring the makeup slip back to our secretary for attendance and invoice credit.
