Program for Dec. 18
Sadhana Pasricha finds social capital, different from social media, involves critical assets for personal and community success. Actually, as Rotarians, she said we are doing the right things. By focusing on other people we will be successful. "It's not who you know but who knows you and what they know about you that matters. And are they able and willing to help you?" The ABC's of social capitalism are: Always be connecting, always be complimentary, always be contributing, always be courageous, and always be celebrating.

Get well soon, Gene!

Our prayers and well wishes are with Gene Danneman as she recovers from surgery. She is home with 24/7 care and progressing well. If you wish to send her a note, send to:

Thought for the Week:

If you packed on an extra pound or two over the holidays, here’s an excuse you can give, courtesy of Canadian Scrapbook Magazine and Garfield:

We all get heavier as we got older because there is a lot more information in our heads. So I’m not fat, I’m just really intelligent and my head couldn’t hold any more so it started filling up the rest of me. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

Can’t make our meeting?

I’ve learned that you shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mitt on both hands. You need to be able to throw something back.

All Rotarians are welcomed to attend another club’s meeting. Be prepared to pay for your meal and bring the makeup slip back to our secretary for attendance and invoice credit.
