Polly Sierer

Non-Profit Management

Polly is President of the Newark Area Welfare Committee, committed to helping area families in crisis. It is the home of Val Nardo’s Needy Family Fund.  Polly is also an active volunteer with the Newark Empowerment Center, Code Purple, and Hope Dining Room, as well as serving on the Board of Directors for the Newark Senior Center. She was elected Mayor of Newark in November 2013.

Prior to entering the non-profit sector, Polly was a marketing and sales professional for more than 22 years in the commercial property management and building services field. She currently works in the horticulture department of Longwood Gardens. She is an avid tennis player and enjoys hiking, camping and gardening. Polly and her husband have four children who reside in Florida, No. Carolina, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

“I joined Rotary in 2012 and am proud to be a Rotarian. My passion for helping others is certainly exemplified by the commitment of the Newark Morning Rotary to service in our community both locally and worldwide. Our club is vibrant, active, and fun.”
